WELCOME TO THE HAHNDORF FARM BARN
Looking
for things do around Adelaide? Looking for some fun activities with
the kids on the weekend? A visit to the Hahndorf Farm Barn is an
ideal way to keep the children entertained for a few hours. And
it's not just entertainment for kids! A drive in the beautiful Adelaide
Hills to the Hahndorf Farm Barn is a great family outing for people
of all ages - from toddlers right through to seniors.
The Hahndorf Farm Barn is a unique blend of a children's farmyard
and wildlife park. At the Farm Barn, we actively encourage you to
interact with our children friendly animals. You can hold, touch
and feed most of our animals in complete safety and at your own
comfort level. If you want, you can even jump into one of the pens
for a truly unique "up close and personal" encounter with
your favourite friendly farm animal.
The
Farm Barn is not just about family fun activities or keeping the
kids entertained - it's educational as well! The Hahndorf Farm Barn
is a great way for children to learn about farm animals and farm
life. Your host, Michael Farmer and his staff, love nothing more
than sharing their wealth of knowledge about life down on the farm.
Michael's enthusiasm and sense of fun has families coming back to
visit him and his farmyard friends year after year.
The Hahndorf Farm Barn is a great spot to celebrate your child's
birthday party and a very popular destination for school
visits and school excursions. We also extend an invitation to
our overseas visitors and other groups to partake in our unique
Aussie Bush Barbecue.
The
Hahndorf Farm Barn is great day out in the countryside and is a
fun family activity regardless of age. We welcome visits
from seniors and residents from aged care facilities. Most of
our attractions are suitable for disabled people and we are pleased
to provide assistance to disabled people if required.
We are conveniently located on the outskirts of the historic Hahndorf
village, just a short 30 minutes drive from Adelaide. The Farm Barn
is located close to several other popular tourist attractions, such
as the Beerenberg Strawberry Farm, and the Hahndorf Hill Winery.
You could also visit "Cedars", the home and studio of
the famous Australian artist Sir Hans Heysen, or simply take a stroll
through the Hahndorf village and sample the German food, beer, wine,
crafts and culture. We look forward to seeing you on your next fun
filled visit to us.
The Hahndorf Farm Barn was the winner of the SA Great 2002 Adelaide
Hills Tourism Award in the category of Attractions.
