Here's some of the fun we had on Australia Day 2013!We had an extra special weekend of activities planned for the Australia Day weekend, that's Australia Day Saturday, Sunday and the Monday puclic holiday...three family fun days, why celebrate only one day when we aussies love to have a good time, so celebrate all weekend with us! We had a real life Stockman, Farmer Damian, who has recently joined the Farm Barn team. He had his horse and was doing some whip cracking demonstrations each day at 11.30am and again at 1.15pm. He had volunteers during the show too!
So here's what was happening....
A sausage sizzle (what's an Australia Day event without one really!) Free face painting for the kids from 11.30am to 2.30pm each day. And the big kids showed their patriotism with an Aussie flag tattoo as well! A craft corner kept the kids entertained (not that there's not already a million things to do here anyway!)... with art and craft - why don't they draw their favourite farm animal or make a mask of their favourite farm animal with all the goodies provided for free. All the usual farm and reptile shows were happening at the usual times, 11am and 2.30pm for the Farm Shows and 12.30pm for the Reptile Show. Here's some of the fun we've had so far!....
