The farm is owned by the Carter family, Jason, Kate and four children, Brianna 9, William 7, Eloise 2 and James born in March 2012. Jason and Kate have brought the family up from the city for a tree change and have been running the Farm proudly and enthusiastically for the past 2 years. We have a great team of super friendly and experienced staff who will be happy to chat with you about the Farm and our animals. Here we are celebrating Christmas with some of our favourite furry friends!
The Hahndorf Farm Barn first opened to visitors in 1999, and since then many thousands of people have visited the Farm. During the past 2 years, there have been a number of big changes and new additions which you will definitely notice on your return, or be pleasantly surprised if it's your first visit to us! And there are plenty of new ideas and new improvements to come.... The Hahndorf Farm Barn is completely privately funded and does not receive any financial assistance from the government. The admission fees go towards the maintenance of our gorgeous animals, development of this Farm and its facilities, breeding of animals, and the research and rescue of sick and injured animals. We work in conjunction with the RSPCA and as often as required, act as a facility for rehabilitating and rehoming some of their animals.
